Toledo School for the Arts is a public charter school focused on providing a college preparatory academic curriculum and an intense visual and performing arts environment. Admission is open to creative students in grades 6-12 whoseek an educational community of peers who are serious about their artisticendeavors.  Regularly cited amongst Ohio’s best public schools, TSA won the Ohio Governor’s Award for Arts Education in 2012.

Dance at TSA includes programs in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical/Contemporary, African and Indonesian dance. Daily technique classes, frequent guest teachers, and regular choreographic and performance opportunities provide our students the chance to hone their skills and prepare for careers in dance. TSA graduates have gone on to dance programs at Julliard, Butler, Point Park, Marymount Loyola and Manhattan, Ohio State, Wright State and many other college programs around the country and throughout Ohio, and have been invited to attend the Joffrey, American, Ailey and Complexions schools, and many other school and summer programs around the country.
